§ 2-27. Meetings; admittance; quorum; restrictions; alternative.

  • (a)

    All regular meetings shall be open to the public with the exception of executive sessions following the hearing of applications.

    (b)

    A quorum shall consist of three (3) members for the transaction of all business except reversals of decisions of the Building Inspector and decisions to allow variances and special exceptions, all of which shall require a quorum of four (4).

    (c)

    No member of the Board shall appear for or represent any person in any matter pending before the Board or before the Planning and Zoning Commission. No member of the Board shall hear or decide an appeal in which he is directly or indirectly interested in a personal or financial sense. If a member shall be disqualified because of interest, such fact shall be noted in the record of the hearing.

    (d)

    The Board shall then proceed to designate an alternate to act as a member of the Board in the hearing and determination of such appeal in the place and stead of the disqualified member.
